Hi, my name is Emily and I’m a 12th grader at Alameda High School. I have taken multiple AP classes throughout my high school years and have over a 4.0 GPA. I run 2 clubs at my school and have other hobbies like piano, baking, and art. I am experienced with working with younger kids as I help with my church’s kids ministry every month.
I have been attending the public school system for 7 years now and am well familiar with the common core curriculum. Also, having been in a tutoring center throughout elementary and middle school, I can confidently say that LEAP offers a more engaging and personalized experience for their students.

Hi, I'm Matea and am a junior attending Alameda High School, currently taking multiple AP classes. I have been accustomed with common core curriculum since kindergarten and have a strong understanding of what LEAP will offer. I am experienced with kids since I have two younger siblings and help at my church’s Sunday school. Additionally, I play the clarinet in my school’s symphonic band and pep band, and outside of school I enjoy playing the piano, am on AHS Girls’ JV basketball team and varsity track team, and enjoy hanging out with friends. I am excited to work at LEAP and have a chance to meet your kids!

Hey, I’m Esther, a Sophomore at Alameda High School. I’ve always had a passion for learning and understanding the process of how things work, and through LEAP, I get to use my knowledge to help students understand these concepts. I’m involved in school leadership, run clubs, and also participate in a debate program, tennis, and basketball. This summer, I gained hands-on teaching experience as a TA for a foundation of algebra class at Berkeley ADTP. I’m thrilled to be teacher at LEAP and be a part of the teaching experience!
